I installed a set of BMR billet Lca and they make a loud clunk when I shift gears. I called BMR they said it is a issue they are just finding out about and I need to put washers on each side of the bucket the LCA go in then tourqe them down. I did this and they still clunk when I shift. Has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it? I am about to put the stock ones back in.

Thanks for your help Jeff

I never had that one, but I did have a bushing fail so I switched brands. I also didn't like how tight the BMR's bolt hole was. It's one thing to be snug. It's another to have to use a hammer. I have to wonder again if this is another bushing issue.

ditch them and get J&M parts. I have one of the very first sets released, and have had ZERO problems with them. seems BMR is having problem after problem with their parts. when they first came out with S197 parts, everyone cheered how good they were. time is telling a different story, IMO. I dont recall a single thread about poor parts from J&M, only compliments.

When did you buy them? BMR had a bad bunch of bushings a long time ago. If you can move them side to side you've got a bad bushing. BMR will fix the problem. Tell them you've got bad bushings and ask for replacements or new control arms. Tell them you can send the old ones in, too.

I've got the same LCAs and have zero problems. I drive my car pretty damn hard every single day, too.

I will have to call them on monday and ask for a replacement or something to be done. The washer thing has not worked. The clunking noise is so loud I thought I broke something in the drive train. I am not happy with their product so far. Hopefully they will stand behind their product and resolve the problem. Thanks for your help.
