Does your CEL prove-out?

Did you jump the self test connector incorrectly, instead grounding the FP relay's coil? This allows the pump to run anytime the key is on.

no ii havent done anything to the car i just went out one mornin and turned the key and the fuel pump wouldnt stop priming and no start i tried the to pull the codes like it says here in the forum thats when i noticed i had no engine light at all its either the computer or the fuel pump relay

i found it on search nm jrichker but its a test for early models with no engine light

The same method works for the MAF cars as the SD (no functional CEL) cars. This is where you need to be starting.

Proving-out is when the various warning lights illuminate when you first turn the key on. This lets you know the circuit functions and the light is operative. If your CEL doesn't prove out, the bulb might be burned out. You can replace the bulb or use an alternate method of code retrieval.

What did the dealership tell you?

I didnt see you answer the question about if your CEL functions at all, nor did you discuss issues you had with alternate methods of code pulling.
