If you damaged the slip yolk I would say that the splines on the output shaft of the trans may also be suspect. I think the important question is, why did they get damaged ? Are you sure you have the right driveshaft length ?

im positive its caused by the transmission since i broke 1,3,5 gear and 4 gear was next to go.. the t5 will be getting rebuilt..the problem with the slip yoke is it has grooves on the outer barre(shouldnt it be smooth?)..is it still usable or should it be replaced?

I'd need to see a picture of it. Its provably best to replace it anyways. How much juice you put through that T5 ? You might want to consider steping it up to a GForce or Astro T5 if yer going to have a lot of traction and power go through the thing.

slip yoke

without pic im guessing that your tailstock bushing is worn out..some grooves are ok as long as thier is no leaking..oem is the cheapest in price..most aftermarkets yokes are more money and you will find that they are oem inside the box....and yes they do sell a hardened yoke ..seach spicer/neapco they list them by sizes not by car..also does your yoke have inside snap rings or outside
