I bought the car pretty much as it is body wise. It needs floors but they came with the car so those are getting fixed here shortly. The paint is candy apple red with pearl white laid in. NOT PINK! LOL. It was painted about 9 years ago and has been sitting for about that long too. The guy had it sitting in a little shop the whole time so the paint is in great shape. It came from Fort Benton, Montana, but I don't know if anyone knows where that is since I havn't seen anyone from Montana on here. I'm currently rebuilding the engine which is a 351W. This is my second mustang but its the first one I'm able to do work on. I bought my first one 4 years ago straight out of high school. It was a 2002 GT and I loved it, but my real love was with these cars so I sold it and got what I wanted.

I guess being a survivor of the sixties, I do love candy apple red! My GF hates red cars so I just amuse her. I don't care for the "factory" red color though.

Good luck. :nice:

Red is the only acceptable color for ANY car. Of all the many cars I have ever owned... probably 99% were red, and all had some type of red on them in trim or pinstriping, etc

I have even converted my wife into driving red cars all the time as our new one (which is not a ford) is red... they are ALL red... nothing wrong with red.

I guess I am living my midlife crisis every year, and I dont know what I will do when I reach that stage... maybe have a different color car.

That is my favorite body style of fastback. I always wanted a 67-68 fastback. I am partial to the 67 because the quarter panel louvers, fastback louvers, and turn signal hood louvers all look great together.

That should be awesome when you get it finished! What kind of wheels are on it? Are they Cragar SS? I think it looks sweet.

There is nothing wrong with red. I like candy apple red.

You got that in Fort Benton!?! Do you know any of the Goodharts? I have lots of family in Fort Benton. What a small world. Makes me even more mad that I didnt know that car was sitting around....he he he.

Semper Fi!
