Looks great. The Shaker 500 in mine's decided to crap out (that whole CD Error message) so I'm looking to install something like this. How painful was install after getting to the radio?

The brand has been around for a long time. Its not top of the line... But.. I have a screen now w/ all the goodies. I live in San Diego and I purchased it for 299.00 the install was done at a local place called Car Audio Heaven. All in all... I am happy with the outcome. I was worried about the blue tooth but it works perfect. I have started a collection of dvd concerts now! Its alot of fun to have some of your favorite artist jammin on your dash!!!

Your install looks great! Had never heard of that brand before.

I'm in the middle of installing a Pioneer Avic F90BT. I bought a Crutchfield harness and have that all soldered up. Final install should be this weekend or early next week. Just waiting on the XM radio unit to arrive. I also bought a Magden M1b performance computer to connect in and am doing the LED swap from green to blue while the console is all torn apart. The new LED's look sweet. I'll post some pics once the console is put back together.

Need better pics. It's kinda hard to see. But I'm sure you're stoked.

I just bought a Pioneer 3100 DVD player. Amazon had it on sale for $285!!! It doesn't do nav though. :( But all I wanted was a new CD player. I wasn't even thinking DVD player or touchscreen until I saw the price on this baby. I'm getting it installed, along with a Fosgate 12" in the trunk running off a Fosgate 2 channel amp, on Sunday!!

I've also got an Infinity 4 channel amp and some Sony 5" x 7" s for the interior. I'll do that part later when I save up some more money.

By the way, I grew up in Scripps and went to Mira Mesa High. Where in SD do you live?

Real men make them from scratch :nice:

J/K, looks great man.

This post just made me realize that I really need to get some pictures of this thing that don't suck with my new camera.

I also have a DVD/Navi system. This is the Pioneer AVEC. Love it.

that fosgate 2 channel amp should be ok for the time being, but it would be better if you got a class d mono amp which are more efficient on power than with 2 channel a/b amps.

If you like bass, I'd go with a hifonics 12" OLM 1612 sub and this hifonics 1600 x 1 rms amp to go along with it:

Those multipurpose screen units look cool but that is one area I would not mess with. I am not a stereo install kinda guy, I would have to have it installed at a dealer.

I installed a few stereos back in the day. But with all the integrated factory stuff nowadays, I didn't want to try it. I'm sure it's not that big a deal if you get factory wiring harnesses and stuff, but I just didn't want to bother. The guy that's doing mine is only charging me $325 to install the deck, sub and amp, (including buying the amp and sub)! Can't beat that.

I had never done any car audio installs before, and I had no problems whatsoever installing mine. I was almost astonished when it worked first time without issues. Just get the harnesses, run the power wire from the battery, and connect the wires to the amp then back to the harness. Not too bad at all really. If I can do it, I have full faith that almost anyone could.

Granted for $325 including the amp and sub, thats not bad at all.
