Has anyone done this? I have a Pre 94/95 throttle body and would love to have cruise control in my car again. Can i modify the 94/95 Cruise control unit so the cable works??? Or must i get a older Cruise control??? Is the Electrical plug the same???

Thanks in advance guys.

I did a Fox TB swap a couple of years ago and I kept the cruise control. What you need to do this is a Fox cruise cable.

You can see some pictures of the swap in my old thread. The pictures should be there, but I can't tell because Photobucket is blocked where I work.

Stangfreak95 suggested that only the plastic inner fender needed to be removed to access the cruise servo, but it made it easier for me to make the holes for the oil pressure and temperature gauge lines.

Seems that the 94/95 Cruise control operates by pulling to keep the throttle and the earlier fox throttle body operates by pushing. If i connect a fox cable to the 94/95 cruise box would it actually work like normal??

It's been a while since I did this swap, but the cable works the way it is supposed to work. It should still pull on a Fox TB setup, it just may be in a different orientation.

You wouldn't design anything that pushes a cable.

If you run a Fox cruise cable in place of your SN95 cruise cable it will work. I have been running this setup for 3 years now without any problems.

Can the cable, or the entire assembly be replaced without removing the fender?

I have the entire assembly, but it seems that at least the wheel and fender liner will have to be removed so I've put off installing it.

I got mine out without removing the fender. Only the liner has to be removed. But thats if you're removing or installing with the metal bracket already attached to the Cruise Control unit.
