Alright, so some of you may have seem my dilemma with the seller on ebay. Well, it escalated to a claim through paypal, and here's what paypal said:

The decision was granted in my favor, and I can respond by providing the tracking information (i'm assuming back to the seller) or cancel the claim. Then, "Please provide online tracking information by May 2, 2009. Once we confirm that the merchandise was delivered, we'll process a refund based on our protection policies.

If the item is $250.00 USD or more, you must request that the package is signed for when it is delivered.

If you've resolved this problem, you can cancel this claim anytime."

Well, I was planning on shipping it back out sometime by the end of this week, but I got something from the seller through ebay today:

"Seller requests to cancel transaction because we both disagreed over the terms of the transaction" and that they want to cancel the transaction and get a final value fee refund"

I can agree to cancel the transaction, or not.

I'm a little confused. I thought I was just gonna ship it back and paypal would take care of the cancelling of the transaction. I'm confused. PLEASE help. Thanks.

Are you the buyer or the seller? If a claim is filed from the buyer for non receipt the seller has to provide the tracking number or delivery confirmation for the item or paypal will decide in favor of the buyer whether they received the item or not because there is no proof the item was sent. If you were the buyer you do not have to send tracking info or delivery confirmation numbers the seller has to. If you were the seller and have not sent the items and do not wish to you can settle the claim and the buyer will get refunded the money. Anytime you sell something on ebay always send it with a tracking number or a delivery confirmation to cover your *ss in case a buyer trys to claim they never received it.

You must either keep the parts or send them back with delivery tracking or confirmation to receive a refund or the correct replacement cams. I would also insure the parts just in case they get lost during shipping just to cover your money. If you and the seller agreed to either a refund or replacement parts do the above and then give paypal the shipping information to prove you shipped back the parts.

I sell car parts too and used to sell them on ebay but kept having trouble. I accidentally sent a customer the wrong tail lights and he emailed me and I gave a 20% refund and reordered the correct parts with the agreement that he was to send me back the other lights. Needless to say I never got my lights and he ended up with two sets and 20% of his money back. He left good feedback though. lol
Anyway, Paypal and eBay policies always seem to contradict each other. From my experiences it is much easier to deal with paypal rather than ebay. I'm still waiting on a claim from January. eBay sux at handling buyer/seller issues.:nonono:

Sorry to hear you are having problems with those cams. Awhile back you started a post about receiving the wrong cams. Hope it all works out for you. Have you decided which cams to go with? Pearl02.

Yea, I'm kinda irritated with the whole situation. I was really excited about getting a set of these cams for so cheap. I'm not sure what I'm gonna go with. Eventually, I want a set of the comps that I bought, the XE268Hs. But because they are so cheap and available, I may just get a set of PIs until I can find another deal on the XE268Hs.

I'm still not exactly clear on what to do here with the Ebay situation. I'm definately sending them back, but I'm not sure if I need to cancel the transaction like the seller is asking me to do. I wonder if that is what paypal is asking them to do? Idk, I think I'm just gonna call paypal and ebay tomorrow and find out what I need to do.

Agreed. The best thing is to contact Ebay and Paypal and re-explain the situation. This really sucks. I've bought plenty of things on Ebay with no problems at all. I'm sure in the long run this will work out for you. Pearl02.

My suggestion is to call paypal and talk to a rep. I've bought tons of stuff on ebay. I have filed a few claims and it usually works out. But talking to someone on the phone is much easier than email IMO. Good luck man

I talked to paypal on the phone today. They were very friendly and professional, and I have now gotten everything straitened out. Cams will be shipped back first thing tomorrow. Problem finally solved. Thanks for the help guys. :nice:

Now on to my next problem: trying to find a good deal on another set of these babies, or at least on some set of cams. :D
