Hi, i've a really strange problem with my mustang.
I've swapped my 4.6 2v for a 5.4 4v. I've swapped the PCM of my old GT(98) for a Cobra(97) with an sCT chip with PATS off.
I've drove the car for about 11 miles and then the car won'T start anymore !
I've fuel to the fuel rails, I've recharged my battery, I've even try to jump start it.
I've tried with my GT PCM, no luck. I were able to read a p1260, theft detection, I tried to clear the code but no luck.
I've double checked EVERY fuses, all of them are like new.

Anyone have any idea ?? I'm really confused about this problem ...

Thank you very much !!

You may want to check on this?

It wouldn't hurt to check on your crankshaft sensor. If your pcm does not receive a signal from it, your engine won't start. You may also want to check your wiring configuration. Some of the PCM wiring from your 4.6 may be a little different for the required PCM wiring for the 5.4. I would check the pin outs between the two PCM's. Good luck, Tommy.

Thanks, I'll look for the crankshaft sensor.
for the wiring, it's from a 97 cobra.

the engine was running fine before this..
do you think a sensor can stop working just like that ?

Thanks again !

All the sensors/connectors are the same. YOu will need to use the sensor for that motor/timing cover but the connectors are the same and they send the same signals. They do look different at times and have different legnths but plug in the same and snd the same signals.

That being said, a bad crank sensor will f things up in a hurry. Check to make sure no wiring got smashed or hot by accident.
