we just installed an 88 Lincoln's NON- HO EFI system on a '76 bronco 302. The thing works great, but........we didn't know the Lincoln has a 4400 RPM rev limiter. How can we get around it or where do I need to send this computer to get it eliminated? nobody hear local has the knowledge/technology.- thanks in advance.

A 4400 limiter is nuts. If the EEC has a J3 port, you can chip it or should be able to use a TwEECer. What do Lincoln guys do to get around it?

Well after Owning 3 Lincoln Mark 7's and doing 1 too many Mass Air swaps...i say the best way make it run well is get an A9l Computer and a MAF meter from a 5.0 and wire the 4 maf wires in......its not hard and its been done many times. Hardest part is finding an A9L computer.

The motor is a NON-high output, stock 1976 Bronco motor, so it has the 302 firing order..we just put the injection on it from a Speed Density NON-HO Lincoln Towncar (it was free)...I have converted a few Mustangs to mass air.....this harness is way different than a Mustang harness....not even sure if we could swap in a A9L (dif firing order) or other mass air computer.....it does have the port on the back of the computer I do believe. I would just like to send the computer off to someone and have them flash it, putting the rev limiter up to like 6500, just to get it out of the way and leave everything else alone......is there such a place? (not around here in Arkansaw)

If your EEC is like an A9* series for Foxes, you cannot flash them. You simply play the interface game with the J3 port (be it with a chip or a handheld tuner).

Having someone burn you a chip with what you want would be one option. A Moates chip is about 70 bucks IIRC (or it was when I bought one some time ago).

Good luck.
