So, I'm looking into getting new shock/struts for my car and was considering some adjustable Tokicos for about $550. I was wondering if you guys would rather have those or some stock Bilsteins from and 03/04 cobra for maybe half that if I can find a good seller.

I have a 99 cobra and don't plan on any road racing.

Thanks guys

I got all 4 used Billsteins for $150 a couple years ago and they run great. I've only had the stock crap they put on GT's and then some autozone crap that was recommended to me so I can't compare to Tokicos but mine is a DD that I drive hard but don't autocross or take to the strip so the used Bills are perfect for me.

Neither. I'd KYB AGX (I love em), or shell out the money for the Konis if they really are the same as the Tokico pricing. I am very glad my shocks are adjustable.

BTW the rear AGX shocks are way easier to adjust than the Tokicos. They have a dial on the side.

when i lowered my 04 vert with h&r race springs, i went with bilstein hd models for the strut/shocks (BE5-2959-H0 and V36-4138-H3). also got mm cc plates. this is a great setup and is definitely distinguishable from factory handling....but the verts did start life off with the weak sauce spring rates and bilstein valving versus the 03/04 coupes.
