Anyone experience this? I just noticed it the other day in certain spots it has turned a grainy darker gray and i don't think it's dirt.
i like the traditional ball style shifter knobs.
Walter - maybe you need to wash your hands more. (Just kidding!!) Seriously, maybe too many hours parked in the sun. The sun seems to cook anything in time - ruins paint, interior, etc.
My Hurst does not show any discoloring, but it did come with an OEM scratch (under the paint) near the "R".
I called Hurst and they said they wouldn't replace it unless I sent it back to them first, with a copy of the receipt from where I bought it. Kinda hard to drive with no shifter ball.
So I drive it, knowing that I have a "limited edition" ball.
haha, I had the same problem, and the chip kept getting bigger, so i sanded it all down and sprayed it all black. Looks cool now.
