Hey guys,

Been out a while but I always return for your expertise. Anyways, I can get a 93 Lincoln MK VIII motor for cheap from an associate and I am wondering is it feasible to use it for a build-up block for a PI engine? I plan to do an engine swap in the near future so just toying with this idea. Is the block aluminum? How much HP will it handle? Is the crank forged or cast? I know the 98 blocks were good but what about these? Can I use the Lincoln block with PI heads? Your opinions are appreciated.

you can use the block. it is aluminum, and it is a teksid block. will handle a lot of power. the heads are "b" style. the internals are not forged. although similar to the 96-98 cobra's, the crank is a 6 bolt gt style. not forged.
