I would like to get stock looking seats with adjustable head rests and some side bolstering for my 68 Vert. Or should I add head rests to the original seats? Also, I have seen comments about differences in the Vert tracks or pans or something...

Your ideas are much appreciated, as usual.

Look at some 2001 Mustang Bullitt seats. They'll give you a bit more support and have a headrest. Also look at 2004 Mach1 Seats.

The 2005+ seats are very nice and retro as well. All of these can be easily adapted to your car by switching the seat tracks over.

Golf, when you say switching the seat tracks over, does that mean taking the old seat tracks and mounting them on the newer seats? I have never even taken the seats out of my car, so I don't know what I'm in for. Thanks.

The 69 seat was identical to the 68 seat, except they all had adjustable headrests standard.

There is also an excellent headrest kit available.

The convertible had exactly the same seat as other Mustangs. The seat platform in the 68 CV was a one-piece item that connected the left and right rocker panels.

That's close but not 100% accurate. You are correct that the headrests were an option in 68. The headrests were actually different in 68 vs 69.

The 68 headrests had 2 posts and are worth stupid money now a days. The 69 had a single post and aren't worth squat.

The headrest kit has two posts, like the 68, although the pad itself is sculpted, not so plain as the optional 68. I know where there are 2 or 3 68 headrest seats, and yeah, the price is usually just silly.

There was a Ford add-on headrest, which amazingly is being reproduced. I say amazing, because it wasn't all that nice.
