aftermarket seats

I have procar seats in my 67 vert, old ones like 1999 models, they sit too high and are worked. So I have been researching seats. I liked the corbeau sport seats, the scat procar and elites sit too high and dont like the design of either of them.

I went to a place today, sat in the corbeau's nic but way too high and head reast only goes up and down, sat in the recaro specialist lxf seats, I think I had a seatgasm but for 2100.00 a pair I lost my boner, then I sat in flo fits, very close to the recaro in design, steel shell construction, and the lowest sitting seat of them all and have thigh bolster, front back/up down headreast adjustment, They are about the same price as the scat seats but much nicer, lower and comfy and have a 2yr warranty. I got a pair uncovered for 550.00 and I can have them done in leather for about 300.00 per seat. I thought flo-fit was out of buis but this company bought them........Seat Source > Home
and they are nice! I'd buy the recaros if I drove my car more than twice a month but for the price I dont think you can find a better fitting, lower sitting comfy seat for an early stang, you will find them on must sellers with pony upholstery for 1600.00 a pair. I dont want to hear from you concorse guys how I am ruining my stang, my stang accels faster, stops faster, handles better, is quieter, gets better mpgs, has OD, looks nicer, has a cloth top, a smaller steering wheel, a roll bar and a non stock color and has a long history......BUT I have all the original parts to put it back if I wanted to...yeah right! I still have the original black and yellow plates that came on the car.

I will post pics of seats, upholstery and install.

suggest you look into Cerullo seats. We are using them in our 65. they will also reupholstery your rear seat for you to match the fronts. they will make them in all vinyl, cloth, combination cloth and vinyl or leather. they are also made in Southern California and not imported.

Well,

Did a test fit on the seats today, they do sit low BUT I realized as low as I want to mount them they wont work, they will but a bit too tight, the convertibles have about 2" less width between the rocker and the trans tunnel, I can raise them a bit and will fit fine. I can say they will fit 66-73 coupes and fastbacks perfectly and sit nice and low. I'm going to try the tabbed sliders they have but if not I will probably return them, before that if anyone with a coupe or FB wants a set I will sell them for what I paid, I actually paid the bare seat and frame price but they were out so I got one blue and one tan for the same price 550.00 no tax.

did you use sliders from SeatSource or someone else? how are the bolsters compared to the post-Fox seats?

I'm trying to find a replacement for my 94 Cobra seats and I'm curious about these. Other top choice is probably the 90-93 Fox GT seats recovered in leather...

Try and look at these too: BF Autositze für klassische Fahrzeuge, classic cars, Oldtimer, ABARTH, FIAT, LANCIA, BMW, PORSCHE, MINI, Sportsitze,
I'm just spreading the word because they are good quality, appear period correct and have great hold for track use. And it seems they have zero marketing, so nobody knows about them. They are the lowest I have found (incl SCAT, Recaro etc), I need room for 6'3 and my helmet. Price in € and plus shipping :(
I have the B11R btw.: http://www.1969stang.com/gallery/Hunting_Dog_GT
