Was bored today and I decided to get rid of the haze on my headlights. As you already know, at night, theses headlights aren't very bright. So having some hazing on them won't help at all.
Before: Slight haziness
After: Like new!
1000 Grit
2000 Grit
Masking Tape
Menzerna Intesive Polish
Menzerna Final Polish II
Porter Cable 7424 with Orange and White pad (4")
Some Microfier clothes
First thing I did was to mask the area surrounding the headlight, so you won't end up sanding your nice paint.
Started with 1000 Grit Wetsanding, there's gonna be some white water coming off the headlight, perfectly normal
After wetsanding the headlight with 1000 grit, the headlight haziness if far worse than when you started. Don't panic, it's normal.
Then I went on to 2000 grit wetsand, same process as above. The headlight will become clearer, but not clear enough.
Then onto the Porter Cable
Orange Pad + Menzerna Intensive Polish. Left side is unpolished.
Completed headlight after Menzerna Final Polish II with white pad
Pretty easy, took me about 1 hour.
