Dome Litghts Stay On

So I go to lock up my car tonight and I hit the lock button on the key fob as usual.
Everything works as normal...
The door locks lock, turn signals flash, and the horn honks.
But then I notice my dome lights are on.
I'm like WTF?
I get back in and hit the dome light buttons... nothing.
I start the car let it run and then shut if off lock it up again and nothing... dome lights are still on.
I waited for about fifteen minutes to wait and see if they would shut down on their own... but no they didn't.
So I pull the panel and manually unplug the dome light assembly to get them to shut off for the night.

Anybody ever have this problem?

LOL. Theres a thumbwheel knob next to the headlight switch that dims the dash lights if it is turned to far up it clicks and turns on the dome lights, that is most likely your problem.

I check it out...
If that's the problem I'm going to feel like a dumb a$$.
I never touch that switch and the light didn't turn on until after I locked the doors and armed the alarm.

I'll post up later to let you know if that was it.

OK...
I'm a dumb a$$.
I must have hit the switch when I was at the car wash yesterday.
Funny thing is the dome light was never on untill I armed the alarm and locked the doors.

I would have really looked dumb taking it to the dealer and having them turn the switch off for me.

Haha yeah i think we have all done it when we first got our cars and were figuring out the oulies.

I did the same thing a a cross-country drive on a Saturday. Thought I had a major problem and almost panicked.
I felt pretty silly when I figured it out.
