I am struggling with the idea of purchasing a set of rear window louvres for my 95 GT. Glass is currently tinted, but thought the rear window dressing would help.

Does anyone have any decent pics of a 94-98 stang with rear window louvres they could share?

Not a great pic, and the louvers are 14yrs old. But It adds something to the back end. I love the molded plastic ones that you can get at americanmuscle.com. Those can also be painted the color of your car. Next year for those.

Here's the best shot I have right now of my Visus louvers, they're aluminum and really nice.

They have latches on the bottom corners and hinges up top so you can wash the window.

Had a '69, '79, '82 and an '86 all with louvers, never thought they looked good after that, BUT.. I did see a couple '08's and a '10 with them at the 45th in Birmingham, and thought they looked good on that body style.

I found a couple of pics of a 94'. AT certain angles, it look OK on others...........ummm.....not so sure?

The side pic is fine, but the rear pic is so-so. That is why I suggested on the right car with the right mods, they may work?

wow cythar, i didn't know you had saleen tail light bezels...

i was never a fan of louvers on our body style.

Picked those up some time ago when I heard Saleen was discontinuing 'em. Those (and the taillights below 'em) will be going on my red GT when I install the export taillights on the Cobra.

I love the louvers, not sure why. Compared to the ones that OneBlue95GT has, these are curved a lot more on the sides which I think blends them in fairly well. They're also very unique, even here in Southern California.

I think they destroy the car. I really think they are that bad. But that is my opinion. If you really really like them get them, but it sounds like you aren't so sure anyways so you may want to pass on that and spend your money on something cooler for the car. :nice:

The curved look is better, I agree and I like how they cover the entire window, not just most of it. I got the car with them on and their 14yrs old. If I had the money for the ones at american muscle, I'd get them. But I want them painted as well. As I just had the quarter panel painted, the guy quoted me almost 300$ cause "the paint is hard to duplicate". With new baby coming in a week, I can't justify $600. Damn kids!

The car does look better with the rounded style louvres, but even so, I'm not 100% convinced that they look better than without.

.....and for the money, I may do as was suggested and look into other mods for the car instead and back-burner the louvre idea.
