Seat Swap; Can I do this?

My seats are getting pretty used up and I'd like to put in some good used ones. I don't need racing seats since this is just my daily driver.

I have a line on some nice ones from an '06 but not sure they'd fit easily. I can make some adapters, no problem, for mounting I would guess, if that's what is needed to make them work.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience trying different year seat swaps. These newer ones are non-side airbag and only driver is electric. I'm guessing I would need to alter the harness for the electrical hookup too.

If
06 won't fit, what years are easily swapped in?

EDIT: Also, is it possible to just use my seat tracks and swap the '06 seats onto those?

Thanks!

YES IT CAN BE DONE. I recently swapped my seats for a set of 05 mustang non side airbag seats. They fit great. I have not figured out the wiring for the new seat switches to the old harness but I have been very busy to mess with it right now. I will get some pics either today or tomorrow and post so you can see what the final product looks like. I also started a thread showing progress pics of how I did the swap. good luck

Exactly what I needed to know. I think I'll go ahead and get them. I can make the electrical connections work but I'll check the aftermarket places too. And if I need to fab some brackets for them I can do that also.

If anyone else has any input, would love to hear it.

Thanks!
