Well, one of my spark plugs decided to come out.. stripping the head along with it.

Thinking about just getting new heads so I wont have to deal with one of the other 7 plugs possibly doing the same thing.

MMR's heads seem pretty good for the price but my question revolves around that I dont have any other "performance" mods i.e. intake, headers.. I know I wont get max performance out of the heads due to this but think it would hurt anything until I do get the other mods?

Not the question I asked.

I would only do one kit, Timesert, which is $450 and will only fix the issue. Might as well spend the extra money and upgrade and get performance.

I've been wanting to increase performance, just wondering if there would be any issues doing the heads now.

I have been seriously looking at 2V GTs now. I used to really dislike them and would only get a 4V Mustang. That has all changed since the Trick Flow head came out, now I really want a GT so I can get those heads :nice:
If you want to get new performance heads then thats what I would do is get the new TF. They have a wonderful design and flow better then any 2V head out and can be ported for more with realative ease. TF has already made over 420 hp N/A on a completly stock bottom end and the TF H/C/I kit. :nice: To me that just made the 2V engine quite a nice option and as cheap as 96-98 GTs are there is a good chance thats what will be my next Stang.

I chickened out..

I bought the Timesert kit. I kinda need my car, it will be back on the road sooner than getting new heads.

Good choice since buying new heads you could have run into the same issue unless you got TFS heads. The Timesert kit works great from everyone that I talk to that has done them. A new set of heads and you could still blow out the plug (still the same casting) You are less likely to ever blow out a plug again in your Timesert prepped heads then you would be in a new set of heads.
