Mudflap suggestions for an SN95 ???

Can anyone suggest a source for mudflaps for our cars? I've looked around the net a little bit and can't find any for our vintage SN95. My white paint would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you, whitecobra95

Honestly, the ones on the back of the GT500 are sweet. Can't really notice them and they stop all the garbage. I wonder if you would order those, mod them, and install them on your car. See if the dealer has a listing. My dad has a GT500...I'll look and see if they are seperate or part of the bottom trim or the whole cover...not 100% on it right now.

they make what is called a clear bra or protective film that you can buy in rolls and cut to where it is needed. That way you can protect your paint but not have it look tacky like the mud flaps. I don't think it is too expensive. it is like 3mils thick and we install it on cars at the dealership I work at. I would say go that route instead of mud flaps

Yeah that stuff works. Uncle Meat has it on his Z06. Looks good. I never saw it in person until last month. I saw it on a black 03 Cobra. The owner said he didn't like it, but to me, it looked great. AND...it was put on in 2003, so being 6-7 years old, it looked good still. Not perfect, but really good.

I have looked around and still can't find any for our vintage. It seems like everything out there is for SN95-2’s or S197’s.

Since this post has received some interesting comments, I’ll clarify what I have been looking for; I’m not going to install Yosemite Sam mud flaps. I would never install those obnoxious flaps that say “MUSTANG” in giant white letters at the bottom and hange down too far. I am just looking for something subtle (that screws in with the fender liner) to block stuff from getting thrown up against the side of the rear bumper cover. Primarily in that area where the bumper cover curves under the car, and exposes the tire tread to the side of the car. I’ve seen these before on a couple cars and they’re hardly noticeable. I don’t know if they were homemade, but if I had any idea how hard would be to find them online I would have asked at the time. (If I could find a Yosemite Sam set, I might be able to cut them down to accomplish this.)

I do like the clear film suggestion as a backup. I might look into that.

The only reason you should have them on is if you still have yours from stock production. I took the fronts off of mine but left the rears on. Yeah it protects against damage and such, but do what I did if you get them and paint them the same color of the car. They blend in better and harder to notice at a glance. But yes, they are ugly.

I know what you mean and want, I think. On German cars they're common and often called splash shields or mud guards. They're nicely molded to the fender line and are not long (like an American mudflap). I don't know where to get them but do think they would look tasteful.
