Horse Power on the Combo

Today I am upset. I rebuilted my motor and pulled a 234.44 RWHP and 285 torque. In 2004 I pulled an 271 RWHP and 328 torque with a 302 GT-40 heads and stock cam. I went backwards. The guy at the dyno said that when I used the Dyno Jet Red in 04 it was a lighter drum and that his Dyno Jet Black Pavement drum weighs 4000 lbs and it is right on. Does anyone have the same combo on their engine that pulled a better dyno reading than 234.44 RWHP? My engine combo is below and it is an 306 now with an F303 cam. I figured about 300 RWHP but maybe I am wrong. Also I have a Diablo Chip and I advanced the cam 5 degrees with the timing chain.

i'd be upset to. something is wrong here. did you get the car tuned, or just put it on the dyno with the tune from your old set up? if this car was tuned, then that guy don't know what he is doing and you need to take it somewhere else. also, what cam are you running? it's not in your sig. with your setup you SHOULD be at 300 to the tire.
i hope you get it figured out

Some thing is really wrong. Did you check your AFR? Do you have an adjustable fuel pressure gauge and have you checked for any codes? What do you have your base timing set at? When you say you advanced your cam 5 degree's did you degree it in to check and make sure it is right. I would say you are missing about 70hp it's there you just have to find it.

He guy put a base tune on the chip and then he would change the timimg on it. I have an F303 cam AFR is 13.8 in a straight line the fuel pressure is at 50lb. I didn't check the codes. the timing is set at 14 degrees. When i advanced it i did not check it.

Weigh you car on a truck scale, take it to the track, do a 1/4 mile run, and then you'll know how much if any HP is missing. With your combo you should have about 320rwhp and be capable of low 12's.

Change the meter (a crappy c&l 73 is nowhere near sufficient for your setup), pull the chip, and reset the FP to around 40psi and i bet you pick up a ton of power.

Thanks for the help. What size of mass air meter should i get? This weekend is the mid-america shelby meet so i am put it in the meet so the weekend after that i am going to set the cam at zero and pull the chip and see what happens. the thing that makes me mad is the tuner acted like 234 was the best i was going to get and i knew i would have over 300 to the rear wheels.
