A 5spd would be 273's... auto is 306 I think???

My 5-speed has 3.08's, so says the tag on the diff.

96darkhorse, I would guess your original gears were 3.08's. Then either have a friend pace you or use a GPS to determine your actual speed. If your speedometer is accurate, good guess! If it's still higher than your actual speed, you had 2.73's. If your speedometer is now lower, you had 3.27's.

I think I got that right.

Almost all the 5 speeds came with 3.08:1 gears, and the autos came with 2.73:1. If the car was a 5 speed, then there is a 95% it came with 3.08:1.
