If you had bad seals on the head and your head gasket was leaking, you could get oil in the coolant. or its seaping in a gasket somehwere else.

The tough part is this could be coming from a number of sources. anything from a crack in the head or a cracked block. It could come in from the timing chain cover area through a worn/cracked cover, etc. another source could be the lower intake or the head gasket oddly enough. I know you just installed low mileage heads but there could be slight chance they have a hairline crack in them. I would look at the timing cover again since you just did that, also recheck the lower intake.

carbed motor
took out of pickup to put in 88 drop top
old motor had a bad valve seat so i swapped heads with known good used ones
there is no water in oil
but oil in water
has 5 spd so its not transmisson fluid
going to flush cooling system and pressure test

That is a good start but just because the other symptoms listed by us most of the time present with water in the oil doesn't mean it's always the case. A cracked/worn or leaking timing cover can do the same just like a lower intake gasket and a head gasket. don't rule it out just because of how the symptoms present.

tried to flush cooling system
with rad cap open and hose flowing in
oil contamanated water was flowing out and not showing signs of stoping after 1 hour
pressure checked system and bleeds off a pound a minutish
pressure checker does not rise with rpm

so..........where is the oil coming from????????????????

this is a question that i dont think anyones gonna have a good answer for, theres alot of reasons that there could be oil in the coolant, and is gonna be a bitch to find it. i would suggest getting a HO motor cheap somewhere rather than chasing your tale with this

follow up...........
flushed coolong system with dish soap followed by laudry detergent
6 cycles
then flushe with clear water.
drove 25 miles no sign of any more oil like substance in cooling system

diagnoise:

wally world anti freeze that i used must of reacted with prevous anti freeze or other prevous cooling system addative

never seen nothing like this before nor probally never see again

BIG THANKS TO ALL THAT TRIED TO HELP
