95 Cobra NO power...

Its down on power, not sure why. Im having a friend of mine look at it this week. Im wondering if the exhuast is the Problem. It has a off-road H and a Magnaflow exhaust. Im wondering if there is not enough Back pressure and that is why its lacking power. Check engine light was on, fixed the problems with that - No light but still no power. I did the battery disconnect also, still no power.
Any other possible issues, I know that the possibilities are endless and its hard to tell. Car is stock other than a cold air intake and a 70 MM TB
Cap ar rotor look good Maybe the coil?

Starts Fine runs fine comming to a stop light the idle is high then comes down in a bit.

will NOT brake the tires loose from a stop light, ok mabe a churp..

At speed you can burp the throttle and its responsive, although doing it faster gives a small "back fire".

Planning on doing a track event this weekend... Thats why I got the car.

Any help will be appreciated

Have you cleaned the MAF? You can use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to VERY gently clean the filaments. A dirty MAF will make the computer put in the wrong fuel mixture; usually it runs rich as a result. Also, you have another sensor between the MAF and the throttle body - the ACT (air charge temp sensor). It can also affect the air/fuel mixture. Make sure it's clean as well.

It sounds very likely that your timing is off. When I first bought my car it was 20 degrees off and ran horribly. If you are new to mustangs or cars in general remember to remove the spout when you adjust the timing. Also, it is good to clean the MAF like twice a year. takes like 10 minutes. dont be afraid of using a q-tip. just be gentle.
