I had to get cat's welded into my o/r h for inspections and they need to come off asap. What brand is everyone running? I need something fairly inexpensive but good quality. Im running a pacesetter on my 91 and have had zero issues. Ive heard horror stories about MAC's fitment for fox bodys...anyone have any issues with them? thanks

If you've got your stock or aftermarket shorty headers, and it'll meet up to the same spot for the catback, so it really comes down to how much you want to spend, and whether you personally prefer the x or h sound. I'd find it hard to believe that there could be too much different a sound from the same pipe inner diameter and length with nothing like baffling or cats to change the sound.

power won't be any different on a bolt on 2v car. I've used Mac and BBK, and both are fine. I have never had any fitment issues with either on stock headers. I've gone through 4 bbk h pipes on my cars, because my local FRPP stocks them, and 1 mac. I would go with whatever is easier to get your hands on.

ok let me make this a little clearer. i know what i want, but what brand do i want? i have bbk shorties on the car with magnapack mufflers. i had to get cats welded in on my current o/r h because of inspection.

my mac fits perfect. Its 3 pieces by the way (2 legs separate and the H crossover)

I notice you said you had to weld in cats for inspection. Is this something you have to have done on any regular basis? If so I would suggest a MAC prochamber O/R and then when you have an inspection coming up you can buy the cats and pop them right in. Once its over take them right back out.

If its not an issue I'd suggest MAC for your O/R. I bought one for my car, good fit. I have a prochamber on it now.
