Well.... I was out on the lake Friday with a buddy of mine and I had an epiphany. He told me to get a car that I would like, not that someone else would(after I have been looking at BMWs and Audis)... sooooo I saw this beast today and put a deposit on it. Its a 93 LX, needs a little bit of TLC and a tranny. So within the first week it will have a nice little 100 shot and a tremec 3550 with TKO internals if that deal works out.

Here is the ad, but I noticed it has 24# injectors, not 30s
Original V-8 car no conversion!!!!
Factory Sunroof.
306 with about 20,000 miles on it.
AFR 185 aluminum heads.
Motorsport Roller Rockers
Motorsport F cam
255lph pump.
30lb. injectors.
BBK long tubes with flows and new pipes out the back.
BBK in fender cold air intake.
75mm Bullit mass air
70mm Eldebrock throttle body.
GT 40 upper and lower intake--ported.
Spec 3 clutch.
Electric fan, with thermastat.
419rwhp that's about 480 to 500 at the flywheel.
8.8 with 3.73 motorsport gears.
Prostars with new micky thompson ET streets on the back and new skinnys on the front.
Car has full Rare Black interior with no tears.( Camera makes the interior look funky, it is great shape!!!)

And yeah I call bs on the 419 hp too, not what I wrote...

And before someone says it....

Awesome man, welcome back to the never ending money pit that is mustang ownership. :D Nice starting point for a project, and I agree that the owner has been severely misinformed about the power level of the car. Where did he pull a number as exact as 419 from? Maybe there's an S trim hidden in one of the fenders??

probably did the magazine power add up form of addition, you know afr articles claim 100hp for head, 220hp plus 100hp etc etc

ehhh I had thought about it, but I just don't think I could ever change my name, based on the fact that my vert will always be my favorite no matter what.

Yes my bro still has his red 93 GT, too. Mine is going to my house, but they are like twins, both red, both 93s, and both in need of a tranny :D

Something I didn't realize is that I think its 5 lug already, looking at the close ups I think it is, but I don't remember noticing that. If thats the case, it will be getting some black bullits for street use, if not, some ponies will do fine.

And yes it will be nice to be back, especially after my buddy who would never race me in my old car thinks he's hot **** with his now turbo 430whp RSX... still hasn't hit 12s in it yet haha

It needs a good interior detailing including steaming of the seats, but other than that it looks great. Many pics to come this week as it gets towed to my shop somehow. Still figuring out how I'm going to get that done.

Lol he must have been using a crack dyno to get those numbers, using a dyno in his head while on crack..

Looks good though, good to see your back in the game.

I think you can add a heater core to the Tremec and 100 shot after looking at the last pic. Welcome back to the Mustang world! :nice:

I noticed that too, but **** I got a while and the cold ain't too bad, I'll just bundle up:D

Its costing me $4800

And thanks everyone, its great to be back!!

Oh and he said it ran a 7.83 w/ a 1.67 60', my guess is he used an online calculator or something, that should be spot on for low 12s.

Most excellent mang!!!! Great little hatch, color me jelous. Great that it already has a five lug too but there is no way a 306 is making 419 N/A. Most 331s with the same setup are doing 350-375 rwhp

Low 12s is not even a stretch, and may explain why it needs a tranny. T5s tear up pretty easily on sticky tires, especially if you try and powershift 'em.

I went 11s with AFR165s on a 302 and a Cobra intake w/ custom cam. low 12s shouldn't be a problem for the parts listed, but the question is how low.

I think that the car made 419rwhp when it had a supercharger; that would explain the selection of the blower-friendly F-Cam instead of something better suited for an n/a motor. Looks like the guy knows what he's doing if he's got those heads and has had it rebuilt. He can probably show you a dyno of it making that. So I would ask him for one. Then I'd ask him why he swapped out the blower and the 42lbs injectors.

Ummm.... JUST MY ****ING LUCK! I finally find a car worth it for me to get and I pull the carfax and it has a salvage title. So now I have to drive an hour and a half to Cartersville in bum **** no where to get my ****ing deposit back. Luckily I covered my ass and wrote a contract that the deposit was fully refundable pending the carfax. **** ME!!!!! So maybe I'm not back in the game yet. My dad offered me his Lincoln LS for the time being... and stupid me bought 10 carfax reports, not unlimited, b/c I thought when you bought 10 you could stretch it out over more than a month. But that just means that I'll be back in the game within a month! Wish me luck in my never ending search....
