I thought this would be a good topic for a Mustang forum. Would you rather have 315HP in your car or 365HP? Now what if the 315 came from a V8 and 365 from a V6 - the new Ecoboost V6.
I’m glad Ford is listening to it’s customers and not critic’s and will keep the V8 in the Mustang. As a V8 owner I would rather have that as my platform. Never mind modifying, building and tuning – the V8 is a part of a long, storied and continuous history of the car.
I think the new Taurus SHO is a very cool car and am happy Ford stepped up to the table and created what should be an excellent engine, the V6 EcoBoost with 365HP. I think the technology can spin off into other cars and trucks. A smaller version into a Focus like the European RS with 300HP. How about dropping that thing into a Ranger… umm a Ranger with 365HP… OK never mind. How about a SVT Fusion with this engine. It could start to compete with the M3 at half the price.
