Underdash Wiring Help! Photo's

Ok, so the wiring harness under my 65 mustang is trashed. I am replacing the whole thing. I purchased and original repo style. I am switching to the 66 harness at the recommendation of Johns mustang for ease of installing a 66 gauge cluster.

I need to identify some of these connections. I have the 66 diagrams but I am not good at reading these. I have done my best and labeled what I could. But I still have a few connections I am hazy on. The attached photos show the connections I am confused on and I listed what the wire colors are on each photo. Please take a look and help if you can.

A side note. Some of these connections appear to have some form of color coding. If there a way to decipher these or am I just reading to much into them?

Thank you in advance.

Well, in this photo the triple plug is aux instrument lighting, such as radio, Rally Pac, etc., and the pigtail off the ignition plug is the ignition, and connects to the one you have labeled "tach", of course these get connected to the tach if you have an original Rally Pac. You really need to get better at the color codes, though, one wrong plug and your nice new wiring gets fried.

The diagram shows the blue w/ red 3 prong connector as wire 19 that is a place to pick up inst illumination-will come on with the light switch. THe other three prong connector shows as wire 140 as a place to pick up accessory power which will provide 12v in ACC and ON positions of the ign switch. THese multi connectors don/t necessarily have to have stuff plugged into them. It depends on the options the car was built with. Handy for stuff you add though.
The pink resistor wire you have labeled for the tach. If you have a factory tach, then the ign circuit runs in series with it, if not, the pink wire in one picture should plug into the red w grn strip wire in the other picture coming off the ign sw.
I think the multi connector in the picture with the white wire is the turn signal connector. You may need to obtain a 66 steering column connector to mate this up. I think the white wire goes to the windshield washer pump. Not sure on that. THe diagram also shows a white wire from the wiper sw that goes to ground. I think the other multi connector goes to the wiper sw, and I remember an orange wire that was by itself that also went to the wiper sw.
I'm going to start tearing into my 2nd 66 FB proj this weekend, so i will pull the inst cluster out first and try to clarify some of it. Also, some of this stuff you can figure out by proximity-where it falls in dash will help determine what it goes to. Can you take a couple pictures that show more of the new harness?
Hmmm, the other multi connector is not a 66 wiper connector....not sure about that one. Need a picture that shows a little more of the harness where that connector is. I can link the diagrams for you but I think you already have them. Hopefully you have a multimeter to help ID some of the wires. Since you have the harness out, you can simply check for continuity from the wire in question, then to every connection till you find it, and will lead you to the purpose of that wire. Also, the diagrams are not written in stone, I have found they are a guide, and don't always match up exactly. Which does not help either.
Let me know if you need a link to the diagrams and post a couple more pictures.

Barnstang, I really appreciate the help. I will be able to post up more pictures of the harness around noon today, when I get home. But what you have given so far has helped quite a bit.

The diagrams I am using I found linked to on this site. Can't remember the exact page. I am using one set that has nice illustrations of each section then a corresponding page with a wiring diagram for that section. The other diagram I am using I downloaded as a two part file that is nothing but really technical diagram. The thing that is throwing me is that they don't always match up or agree like you mentioned.

Here is a picture of the complete harness I do have on hand. Probably not much help. Will get better pics later.

The other harness the one pictured in the last picture. Is located on the far side towards the passenger door almost at the end of the harness. I circled its area in red as best I can remember in this photo.
