OEM junk yard parts vs. reproduction/aftermarket parts?

I have heard stories that one should avoid getting parts like fenders, bumper caps, hoods from the aftermarket because of improper fit. Therefore it is better to go to junkyard and get the used/recycled OEM parts.

Has anyone here had any bad luck or good luck with aftermarket/reproduction OEM like body parts for their fox Mustang?
If so which company was it with.

This is for a 1988 Mustang GT and thus far LateModelRestoration has alot of aftermarket body parts with very attractive prices. Just concerned of what I hear about quality and fit of parts even though this is a top notch company.

I ordered an aftermarket fender for my 89 from CJ's Pony Parts and it actually fit much better than the oem fender!

BMW, I thought this was all being answered pretty well in your other thread.

Some of the early foxes can get a fender buldge, noticable where the fender meets the door. This is sometimes caused by simply jacking the car up with the OEM jack. Something you'd have to be aware of with a used fender.
