dumb topic...but bugging me

Alright, since I am a very anal person.

I had a few drinks and really did some beating of the car, slid around corners and such. Well, I had lose control kind of slide, which put a lot of stress on the right rear. Front wheels ended up touching the curb like I was at a parking spot ;). Luckily the chin spoiler will be going on soon.

Now, my right rear side of the car, measuring from fender to ground is a half inch lower than the driver side.

When I look top down the driver wheel sticks out further than the passenger side...which could be cause of un level ground or the panhard needs to be adjusted.

I braught it into a wash bay the other day to spray the bugs off the front and the right had no wheel gap, left and about 5 inches. Could have been from the slope of the floor to the drain, but...its sickening.

Is this a legit reason to be upset/concerned or will adjusting the panhard fix the level problem etc.?

Any parts I need to check? Spring going bad?

Literally losing sleep over this- help appreciated.

No car sits perfectly level, even axles are shifted in favor of one side or another due to proper needle bearing operation in the yokes of the driveshaft. This condition was there you just never noticed it before because you probably never had cause to.

I did not post this thread for criticism on drinking and driving, I am here for the mere fact that I am concerned about my vehicle.

Well, you are obviously not THAT aware of it if you still did it. I have a friend that lost his son to somebody that was " well aware" that drinking and driving was stupid.

I'm sorry that you didn't want criticism for drinking and driving, but you ******* up. Stop worrying about your damned car and worry about killing someone.

OK Rant over. Just keep in mind that the important thing is you weren't hurt and you didn't hurt anybody. Possibly damaging your car is a very cheap reality check.
 
Alright, St. Leo Minnesota, take a small look on google about this town in which I live. Population, 35 which are all over 60...and in bed the time me and my buddies had our "fun."

I am not the only person who has a few drinks and decides to drive. Christ.

This is a mustang forum, I am here trying to receive help on my MUSTANG, I did not post this in the "I drank, and drove, didn't get in trouble; but am responsible for every drunk related death" forum.

Your going to yell at me for your friends sons death...then you better keep rigt on yelling at the 90 other percent of poeple on this forum.

So, I read your first post a few times, and there's really no reason to have posted the drink and drive comment in there other than for attention purposes. If you don't want flak, you shouldn't have posted it. I don't care where you live, or what the circumstances are - your being stupid, as is the rest of the "90%" I guess. Edit your post or take the heat, but please don't whine and complain.

To comment on the intent of the post, my kind of sits the same way. I've noticed it is a bit off centered too, and it is stock at the moment. It is always a possibility when using a panhard bar.
 
I put the drinking and driving part as for the fact that I was pushing the car harder than I would sober. Hence the reason i lost it, only an enhancer. And I was not the one complaining, just sticking up for myself.

I will have to check my panhard, and re-adjust it.

It is lowered with eibach springs, tokico D-specs, BMR UCA and LCA's, sway bars. This was the second time I've beat on it of this sort, which I mean is nothing terrible, I have never been to the track, just bombing around city streets, that's about it.

I would hope the springs are not shot after 2000 miles

just because you throw a crappy "justification" on it doesn't make it right or smart. by your logic russian roullet is acceptable since there is only one bullet in the revolver. think before you act next time.
 
I am also insulted that you would put 90 percent of us in the same category. I DO NOT drink and drive. I never have and I never will.
I had a friend in high school who did that all the time, until he killed two people. He ultimately killed himself.
You have more than your car to worry about.
 
I did no wrong, except upon my own car. quit yelling at me for **** that I did not do, i did not kill myself, or anyone else. I am simply asking for advice as to what could be possibly wrong with my car/if anything at all.

If you guys are offended by what I posted...offended by posting that I drank some alcohal, and drove, and are mad at me then you have issues. Then you should hate the world and probably never drive a car again, because it is simply just to dangerous, with all them drunk people out there.

This whole world drinks and drive, and the last time I check you COULD drink and drive, if you are below the legal limit, which I never SAID I WAS OVER.

You little babies that are assuming that, "oh he drank, he must have been drunk" .... kiss my ass.

you're not getting the point. just because you may have been under the legal limit does not mean you weren't in the wrong. you cleary state that you judgement was impaired since you "pushed the car a little harder than you would have if you were sober". simply put you did something dumb and now have to pay the piper. good luck fixing your stang. it's a sweet looking ride.
 
I have to agree with everyone.... not EVERYONE has a drink or two then drives. As far as your car is concerned, there is another bar, not the panhard bar, that reinforces the rear suspension geometry. If you look, it is a stamped steel bar that crosses horizontal to your differential and is bolted up to the same mount as your panhard bar. You have probably bent that. You should replace it with an aftermarket piece, it is the weakest link in your rear suspension.
 
you may want to check your wheel bearings and look over your suspension system to see if anything was bent, it sounds like you didnt hit anything to hard but you'd be surprised what slight hit can do. chances are its nothing, i agree with tommyroc you probably never noticed before
