I also highly reccomend using the Taurus fan also. You only want to use the one that comes with the 3.8L motor, not the 3.0L. The whole assembly fits very well. Your existing overflow bottle will work with it too. I didnt have the luxury of an installation sheet with mine so I had to just stare are it for a while until it either installed itself or I figured out a way to make it work. Unfortnately, I had to do the latter of the two....darnit...lol.
Anyways, the Taurus fan is a good unit. It only draws between 25-30 amps on high speed. It has 2 speeds but you are only going to use the high speed. I chose to use the DCC control setup for a couple reasons. One, it doesnt bang on and off and put hard hit after hit on the electrical system. It brings the fan up to speed in a very controlled manner which keeps the amp draw to a minimum and doesnt abuse the electrical sys. the way a simple thermostat with a switch does. Two, It keeps the engine right at the preset temp extremely well. Just set it and forget it.
I would highly reccomend the Taurus fan. It can be had at the local pick and pull for around 25 bucks and there are tons of them out there. The one I got looked like it hardly had been used. The car I pulled it from was in very good shape. It had been plowed in the rear so everything in the front was in fine shape, including the fan......hehehehe. Well, the car only had 50K miles on it and it was a 92 so that says it all in a nutshell.
Getting it from Ebay as a kit with all the nesc. parts, connectors.....ect..I think is a great idea if thats your bag. You will pay for the convenience tho. Or you can go the junkyard route and assemble everything yourself. I just prefer to do things like that for the satisfaction of doing it myself and figuring things out for myself.....Good luck which ever route you take........l8r
