Taurus eletric fan

I highly recommend the taurus fan -- I got it from a guy on ebay, user name gt_recycler. He sells tons of Marv VIII and Taurus fans as well as other parts. I highly recommend him. MY fan looked brand new and works excellent. His prices are good and he guarantees the fans work also. Check it out if your going to buy one for sure.
I'm also using the DCC controller as well.

oh and to answer your other question... yes I would suggest upgrading your alt to at least a 3g 130 amp.... you can pull from a junkyard for cheap or buy a new one.

I got mine off ebay also.... http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/romeo_electrical/

Also highly recommend this seller. MY alt works great and he preassembles a kit with all the correct wiring, connectors, fuses, everything and has complete instructions for install in a fox, including how to notch the bracket. My install was a breeze.

I also highly reccomend using the Taurus fan also. You only want to use the one that comes with the 3.8L motor, not the 3.0L. The whole assembly fits very well. Your existing overflow bottle will work with it too. I didnt have the luxury of an installation sheet with mine so I had to just stare are it for a while until it either installed itself or I figured out a way to make it work. Unfortnately, I had to do the latter of the two....darnit...lol.

Anyways, the Taurus fan is a good unit. It only draws between 25-30 amps on high speed. It has 2 speeds but you are only going to use the high speed. I chose to use the DCC control setup for a couple reasons. One, it doesnt bang on and off and put hard hit after hit on the electrical system. It brings the fan up to speed in a very controlled manner which keeps the amp draw to a minimum and doesnt abuse the electrical sys. the way a simple thermostat with a switch does. Two, It keeps the engine right at the preset temp extremely well. Just set it and forget it.

I would highly reccomend the Taurus fan. It can be had at the local pick and pull for around 25 bucks and there are tons of them out there. The one I got looked like it hardly had been used. The car I pulled it from was in very good shape. It had been plowed in the rear so everything in the front was in fine shape, including the fan......hehehehe. Well, the car only had 50K miles on it and it was a 92 so that says it all in a nutshell.

Getting it from Ebay as a kit with all the nesc. parts, connectors.....ect..I think is a great idea if thats your bag. You will pay for the convenience tho. Or you can go the junkyard route and assemble everything yourself. I just prefer to do things like that for the satisfaction of doing it myself and figuring things out for myself.....Good luck which ever route you take........l8r

what years besides the 1992 had the 4500 cfm fan in it? and is it the same as the marck 8? and does any one hane any pic of it in the car just wondering how its sits compaired to the giant

I have a Taurus fan and a 3.0 Taurus 3G alternator. The car stays cool even when the weather hit 114 degrees last month. No issues at all.VERY good fan,and with my car now having a Turbo Coupe header [anel (no grille),I was afraid of overheating. No such problems.

So will a taurus alternator work with a fox 302? oh yea I have a griffin 3 core rad forgot to add that and if it sits when its 100 outsite the stock fan cant keep up it will rise 30 degrees at idle any other time its fine, is the fan that much stronger?

Yes eveyone i know that does engine swaps that can fit a taurus fan in tere runs there there cheaper then a slim line and move about twice the amount of air of any slimline its same size. This is what im going to run on my lincoln which should be more then enough for a turbo 4k lb car.
