haha...might look a bit strange....but when you add up what I've spent on the stang (I had to for my accountant...ouch) and add in the trailer and F250 turbo diesel, I bought to pull the thing to the tuners and track...way more money than the viper.

Ironically, now that the stang is being transformed for racing only, I don't get to drive it at all. I have a driver mod who will have an NHRA race license for the dragstrip...lol. I'm too old and too slow for mid 9s and faster.

I'm going to assume you just want to see what my last daily driver was, and not EVERY car I've ever owned...
1965 Nova SS. 383 Stroker normally aspirated with all the regular go fast parts. 700R4 trans. Best time of 12.80 at 114mph (I think that was the mph, and at LACR 4000 ft above sea level) fully loaded, through the mufflers, and on tiny 225/45/16 tires. And still got me close to 20mpg on the highway.

what wheels are they on the viper, brands at the tip of my tongue. i'm thinking ccw or true forged, but i can't think to be exact.

roughly what do vipers go for? when i was younger i saw vipers and and vettes being up there in price with porsche and etc. but now i see alot more people choosing them vs top model stangs and camaros and stuff, so i'm guessing they must be decently close. would love to own one at one point. they look fun to drive.

If this had been a 5 speed, I probably would have put a supercharger on it and not have gotten the Mustang. I still miss the way it could cut a corner.
Fire away if you must.

Had big plans for this also, figured it was time for a change when I bought the stang. Still have the bumblebee and drive it daily. 150k miles and still going. Fun car.

I think they are BBS wheels?

Brand new vipers start in the $90k region. They are still in the same price ballpark as Carreras, but you don't often find people cross-shopping them. They are just two completely different machines. Aside from collectors, you will rarely find a new GT500 buyer considering a new Viper as well.

The used Viper market varies significantly even between cars of the same year. Miles make a huge difference, as does accident history. Color even factors in pretty heavily to the price. If you were going to spend $50k on a car (around the price of a 2010 GT500 on ebay) you'd be in the same ballpark as a 2005 Viper with maybe a few thousand left over. You might be able to find a decent 2006 for that money as well. To show the variability of the value, a quick search even turned up several 2002's (old body style) with 5-12k miles for about $50k while I found a 2005 with 10k miles for $45k and a 2006 with 5k miles for $50k and a 2000 w/ 25k miles for $46k.

No idea...they were on the car.

You have done some good research. Low mileage used Vipers are getting less and less expensive, but regardless you still have the same "viper tax" when you bring the thing in for service. It's a more expensive vehicle to maintain than a corvette etc. Oil changes were $116 a pop...lol. Then with 500 cubes and 10 cyl...gas mileage sucks...but you know these things going in.
