Is there anyone out there who actually likes the stock rims on the newer mustangs? I have a 06 gt that came with the split spoke 17" rim and I like the way it looks. I've actually tried both chrome 20's and polished 18's and I seem to go back to the stock set up. I also like the stock bullits that come on the mustangs in the 17inch. Am I crazy? It seems like everyone puts on some kind of aftermarket rim. The more I look at the new mustangs the more I like them with a rim that's not so shiney and bling looking. It is after all a muscle car. Just wondered if I'm in the minority or if anyone else likes the way the Mustang looks stock.

I agree with you 100%. The stock 17's that came on my '07 GT definitely have the muscle car look. IMHO (I'm not bagging on anybody's choice of wheels; everybody has their own taste) chrome wheels look silly on any vehicle and I think anything over 18" looks even worse. Personally I think the stock wheels on the '10 Mustang GT are too big.

I've always liked the bullitt wheels. I'm planning on getting anthrecite bullitts for mine with fat/skinnies.

At first I didn't care for the stock rims, but they are starting to grow on me.

I've never cared for bling chrome rims, or big rims (like lostprophet said, just personal preference). The only downfall to the stock 17s is that you can't do a big brake kit.

There are always trade offs. Bigger rims allow for brake upgrades, but are heavier and can affect performance.

Right now my plan is to go with bullitts and Nitto 555s for summer, and put Bridgestone Blizzaks on the stockers for winter.

To each his own, and not to impugn anyone's taste but I couldn't stand the split spoke polished wheels (the Concept Wheels) and were the first to go. They came with my car and it was a $195 option that I didn't want. I would have been glad to swap them out for bullits from another car on the lot.

we have the gray, bullit style, 17" wheels. I love them. IF I ever went to a different wheel I'd keep the same style, just maybe go to an 18" and a deeper dish. But I'm perfectly happy with the wheels now. Don't like the blades, don't like the GT500-ish wheels and some GT's. I looked at cars until I found this one with the stock wheels.

I like the stock 17s just would like wider rubber, and a staggered look.:)

I love mine as well and they are designed to give a good appearance and performance. I won't be one to spend 2-3k on rims and tires, rather just 1k on nice performance tires and use the rest for other goodies :D

To each their own though and I am not bagging on those that have replaced their rims. To me it's our money and we can do with it as we please. One guys replaces and one doesn't.

Glad a lot of owners still keep their stockers though :nice:

I special ordered my '07 GT and chose the 18" Fanblades. I really like the look of them. I also have a set of 17" Charcoal Bullitts that I bought to mount drag radials on (and the stock Pirellis up front) for days at the drag strip. The Charcoal Bullitts look very nice on my Alloy Gray GT. I'm not much for bling, so no chrome on my cars, although I can appreciate them on a Black car.
