Im still getting used to the car and i wanna try n figure out the best way to get the best gas mileage, where i live its mainly 35 mph everywhere, n @ 35 overdrive will kick in if its on n go down to 1100 rpm or so, where as if overdrive is off i will run about 1500 rpm or so. In theory the 1100 rpm would get better gas mileage. But running that rpm would that put more strain on the motor working it harder so it would burn more fuel??? Just a though lemme no wat u guys think

I've found that running in OD is better only if it's constant. If you keep droppong in and out of OD like in stop and go traffic or up and down hills, just keeping it off will probably net you better mileage. Actually though, how fast you accelerate will have a larger impact on your gas mileage.

I do quite a bit of city driving, most of the roads I drive on have a 35-45 limit, and I usually only use O/D when im on the highway or on a main road with a 50mph limit.

I get around 21mpg this way with 80% city and 20% highway driving.

Keep it out of OD.
