Coolant in fuel system

Im having some problems and hoping that someone can give me some opinions on this.

I put a rebuilt engine in my car at the beginning of spring it went well and I drove it about 500 miles it ran perfect but had some minor issues like check engine light with o2 codes so I replaced the o2 sensors and that went away.

I also had an oil leak in the oil pan so about a month ago I lossened the motor monuts jacked up the engine and replaced the oilpan gasket.

After that was done the car was smoking white smoke coolant in the fuel system so I took the 2 COOLANT lines that go to the egr plate and ran them together thinking that the coolant was getting in through the egr plate but that was not it the car is still smoking white smoke and I can smell coolant in the exaust.

The car does not run hot at all I drove it about 50 miles yesterday and it never got hot.

I thought it was something to do with the throttle body thinking that the chain that I put on the engine when I jacked it up somehow cracked the throttle body but with the coolant lines bypassing the egr plate there should be no coolant mixing there.

Im kinda at my wits end and open for suggestions Im thinking that I may have to try replacing the head gaskets and the intake and throttle body gaskets but it makes no sense that it ran fine before I changed the oil pan gasket and the car has never been hot since I put the new engine in it.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated

do a compression check then get one of those tools that you can put 16lbs of pressure in the radiator and watch for the pressure to drop off. If one of the cyl has lower comp. look at the plug and look for water droplets. If comp. is good it sounds like you messed up the intake gasket when you picked the motor up by it.

By the way i dont know the name of that tool i cant think of it for some reason lol

I will get out there this weekend and do a compression test I know what you mean about the cooling system pressure tester I will see if I can borrow 1 from a friend or buy 1 from harbor freight.

I didnt pick the engine up with the intake the chain just ran beside the upper intake I really think the intake is the problem the head gasket just dont make scene.
