Shelby Turbo ?

Shelby had such a problem with Ford regarding the CBII that I would be surprised if he built any prototypes using one. I would have to see some good documentation before I would bite on this story.

A CBII with only 7500 miles is rare enough that it would require significant documentation by itself.

It certainly looks nice enough other than the missing front spoiler. But all of the "Shelby" emblems on it are easily available in reproduction, and there are plenty of turbo kits out there for the 302.

That Cobra is definitely not original. I can count a million different things on the car that just don't look period correct or professional enough to be original. Let's see here... the hood scoop, the "Turbo" script on the dash, the various dissimilar gauges, the missing gauge , the red switches on the dash, the brake fluid cover with black overspray, the aftermarket electric fuel pump mounted beside the brake booster, the ignition module with black overspray... etc, etc

From the pile of parts, it looks like an abandoned project car. If it's running and relatively rust free (i.e. floor pans and inner fenders solid), then its probably worth $3500 as it sits.

But Carroll Shelby did not sign that car, he signed an aluminum blank that someone installed in the car.

Shelby American has good lawyers...these folks should be careful. :)
