I have a 3200 stall so im going to run 4:10 gears in my car now its a Lincoln Mark Vii it weighs about 3850 but with me in it about 4k lbs give or take.So i was wondering Obviously a trans cooler is a must with the stall and weight.But how much power do you see the trans holding up to?Im going to get a shift kit also a transgo i have yet to read anything bad about them.I dont drive the car now i just move it from spot to spot.Dont wanna drive it till i get the gears and shift kit.Cuz it has 3:27's in it.

Also has anyone bought the lentch i think there called?Any of there transmission i plan to build a nice turbo 351w based stroker motor with a 80mm turbo i have want something in the 6-750rwhp range.

well that trans is going to last about 2 seconds. they can be built tuff. even fully buitl the 3-4 input shaft is really small and will snap. a buddies turbo car is making 610/620 and thats where his fully built aod keeps breaking.
 
I do not like the transgo shift kit, and that is a bunch of gear for that motor.
The trans will likly not last long without some upgrades, im sure silverfox can get you what you need at click click.
My home built AOD is on year 3 and still works fine and I have upwards of 350hp

Then you definitely need to give Lentech a call and look into buying one of their built AOD's. Your tranny won't last five minutes under that much power.

lentech is going to tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale. there is one guy at lentech named ralph who seems pretty stand up. if you could talk to him somehow i recommened it. currently no one makes a 3-4 gear driveshaft that will reliably hold 600 horse. and thats where ours keeps failing. the rest of the trans is great, but as you know any high hp car will find the week link and thats it. We are currently looking into a th400 swap.

What do you mean looking into the th400 swap its been done many times already.I want the aod for that extra gear otherwise id just go with a built c4 which i know would prolly be a grand or so cheap then a built aod.

How are 4:10's to much gear?Everyone on the lincoln forums throw's 4.10's in there car and drop a huge amount of time of there 1/4mile.
 
With a close to stock engine seems 4.10`s would run you out of rpm (power range) at the track. Thats all im saying.

Yeah i was reading up and i guess i can expect to be at 2500rpm at 70mph which is a nono for my with the lincoln cuz i plan to drive it on the freeway a decent amount.Think im just gonna go with 3:73's as i can take them out of my mustang which 4:10's are going in that anyways.
