differential covers

What is the difference in differential covers?The only thing I noticed is on the trickflow differential the fill hole is drilled above the half location,and on he Moroso its under the center.??less fill capacity I dono any input?

I had the SVO cap and it also had a different fill hole and had bearing supports that you tighten on it. The only thing just is that when you fill with the different hole you have to still take out the original plug so that you know when its full and so you don't overfill unless you know exactly how much oil you need.

fill plug

The fill plug is on the driver side of the back of the diff (opposite the cover) right near where the driveshaft connects.

Front of the differential pumpkin, above the support rib...pass side i think?

HAH I love this site one person says one thing ,and the next person says complete opposite.its great.I found it it is on the top,but now how much actually goes into it?? If I use the top fill hole(original) I can over fill it...

Wrong.

The cap on top is the vent cap (although you can fill it there, you will still need to remove the fill plug to know when you have the correct amount of fluid in there). I just had my diff open a few days ago.

As I said the fill hole is on the driver side back (or front depending on how you look at it) of the diff near where the driveshaft attaches.

the god damn fill/check plug is on the drivers side front of the dif above the support ribbing. 3/8 drive extension......jesus

I found the plug I never rotated the diff over to see it till tonight.3/8" drive wrench like said will do the job.the plug hole was covered by a bracket for the brake line had to take closer look.
