I had some subframes installed last week. They where done by a local shop that I was steered to by a few people I know. The car was put on a lift and they where welded on. My questions is.. is there anyway the suspension could have been loaded while it was on a lift? It was not a drive on lift. If they where put on without the suspension loaded is my car screwed now?

no you cant put a load on the suspension that way BUT i had my mm full lengths installed on a regular lift as well. it can be done. my guy layed on the ground (lifted the car up a little under the axle, etc) and put a few welds on them before he put it on the lift and then lifted the car and completed the job. If your guy has a good reputtation, then im sure he did it this way. As flimsy as the body is without frames, im dure the doors wouldnt close right if he didnt install them right. heres a few pictures of the finished job

He didnt do any welding until the car was up on the lift all the way. The doors shut the same as before.... driver side ok... passenger you have to slam bc of sagging door hinges. :D So what your saying is if the doors shut the same not to worry?
