We live in California, prices are much higher here than they are in Mayberry...:D

IDK how it is in Socal, but if your buddy lived up here in Norcal, I would tell em he must be high if he wanted to DD a nice fox. We have had 4 stolen on our local forum within the last month... You can't leave these things unattended for more than 10 minutes.:nonono:

What's that supposed to mean?! :fuss:

:D

They are a lot cheaper here in Mayber... er, Arizona.

Shop around and get serious with people and you will find out you can score a deal, times are tight right now, asking prices are always meant to be haggled down. :D

I just picked mine up off of a buddy for $1k. He picked it up for $700, the kid was asking $2500

I know what youre saying tho, i was looking for the longest time and the cheapest one i found was a non running notch back conversion car for $1500. The cheapest running 5.0L i could find was $3500 and it was ROUGH! most are about 5-7k around here, unless you have a really clean one then its 8-12k.

his commute is 7miles round trip, so i dont think it woould be a problem, but around here the cars that are suspect tothat is 240's and integras, we have a BAD ricer scene around here all of which have knocked my car for being "heavy, slow, and a terrible handler" just wait until i register it and open this bad boy up...

Surfing craigslist a few minutes ago. Found a car completely identical to mine + a supercharger and it's a 331....they want $13500 for it. Yes it's a supercharged stroker, but you can't expect to get NEARLY that for it

No, sellers aren't high. They are probably looking at book value. The book value for the 87-89 model years has gone up 2 fold. The 87-89's are considered classics now.

The other appraisal companies following this same trend. Check out the price difference between a '90 and an '89 hatch.
