Getting ready to order a catback, and I'm set on a magnaflow. I like the sounds from what i'm hearing on youtube, I know its not 100% accurate, but close. Just wondering if any of you guys have opinions on the magnapack or just the normal muffler? Let me know thanks guys. Should be placing the order on friday. So let me know what you guys think before then, or poast up and sound clips. Thanks

I love my Maganflow catback system. I also have a MRT catted h-pipe. It has a nice sounding low rumble. If you want it louder, than I suggest you go with the Magnapacks. I think mine is loud enough the way it sounds. It's perfect for me. Pearl02.

If you are going to go with an O/R pipe get the magnalfows if you are staying with a catted Pipe go with the packs. I had the packs with an MRT catted H for 2 years and now I have them paired up with LTs and a VRS catted X pipe. With the H pipe I had a lot of interior drone now with the X pipe I have no drone at all.

Oh dude... you had to ask...

I love my packs.

I can set off car alarms in parking garages, people look when I accel in there presence. BUT, eventhough I like my catback over my OEM setup, I want to get rid of the cats and go with an O/R "H pipe" for more power and sound.

MagnaPacks are Cherry Bombs... they don't need cats.

BUT, MagnaPack catback is sweet...

Thanks for the replies guys, I was getting a complete differnt response on stlmustangs. They were leanin towards the magnaflow orignal. Any of you have some some good sound clips you can post up?

i have kooks longtubes, kooks o/r x and the regular magnaflow catback, and i fuggin love it. I would not do the regular mags if you are only doing the catback though. If your only plan is to do just the C/B then do the packs but if you have longtubes in your future go with the regulars because a buddy of mine has the same setup as me but with the packs and he fuggin hates it and loves mine.

I guess it's a personal thing but I had the magnapack C/B on my '02 GT with stock H, I loved it as well then switched to a matching Maggie Catted X (we have emissions in MD that require cats and didn't want to dick with it), sounded even better. Then I swapped that over to my Mach, after the rebuild I added SLP L/Ts, SLP shorty catted x and reused my magnapack C/B and it sounds way pissed. Not sure but without cats I think regular magnaflow is the way to go and with cats magnapacks but it all comes down to how much sound you really can put up with. :flag:

I keep hearing that those are more noise than anything. Not as much tone, just loud and annoying?

I'll prolly go with the packs, and swap in a catted pipe down the road.

Really I was joking. I wouldn't put them on a daily to save my life. If it was me and my car was a daily I would do a mac catback. Just me though. I am sure you will like whatever you get. Best advice I can give is listen to it in person before you buy.
