Ok so the car is a 01 Mineral Grey GT as seen here

I want Black Chrome 03 Cobra wheels but can't figure out wich setup to order.

I am looking at these two wheels:

First it's the normal 17x9

And then the 17x9 that has jsut a slight Deep Dish (not the overkill look of some of the deep dish cobras)

Now here is my delima, do I:

A: go with normal style 17x9 black chrome Cobras all the way around.

B: go with Normal 17x9 black chrome in the front with the 17x9 Deep dish from above in the back

OR

C: Go deep dish all the way around?

I really need your help guys. I really want to give the Mineral Grey a good pop. I want this to look really good and not look ugly or something. I also thing the standard style Cobra wheels all the way around may not contrast well with the GT bumper and rockers. They seem to flow better with Cobra parts from pics I have seen. So I was hoping maybe a combination of of the regular style with DD or just DD all around might set off those sharp edges nicely and I think the Black chrome will compliment the MG color better than standard chrome.

So do you think I should just go black chrome 03 cobras all around then? Kind of sucks because I will be reusing stock size tires until I get the money for some 275's out back. Is there another rear size you guys recommend? So everyone is in agreement that even the deep dish 03's above on all four corners wouldn't look good then?

Personally, I think that stock chrome (or black chrome) 03/04 Cobra wheels are pretty boring. If you're going to be spending some good money on rims, why buy rims that come stock on other mustangs? It just seems like a waste of money to me.

Here's a DSG w/ DD 03 Cobra's

I think some 17x9 DD black chrome 03's would really look good on your car.....much better then regular boring 03's.

As for tires, I bought a set of 2 275's for my stock 5-star GT rims for a grand total of $215 through Discount Tire. They're not that expensive.

Ya know I found myself asking the same question earlier tonight. Why am I spending such good money to get basically stock wheels just from a dif year and model? I wish I could find more black chrome fr500 pics on mineral grey. And I don't think I would be doing the DD because I would have to add the expense of two more tires. I know that sounds dumb but shipping on tires to Alaska is f'in outrageous! You guys are being a tremendous help so keep it up!

Your pic didn't show up :(

lol i like how it showed up in my quote ;) I don't know what happened there! I am seriously thinking fr500's now. Any pics of them in a non staggered setup anyone? Not sure I want to do DD in the rear. Tires are crazy expensive in Alaska and they have a stupid rule where tire shops can only mount and balance wheels and tires if you do a set of four. No shop can mount and balance just back tires by law. GAY!

I feel the same way about the DD wheels. I think I'm going to go with the same size wheel all around. I think it will be easier when you have the tires balanced and rotated. If money grew on trees than I would consider going with larger wheels on the back. I'm looking at the chrome FR500's. Pearl02.
