That's a KDW2. I've had the KDW, and it was a great tire in the dry, pretty good in the wet. Not the quietest by any means, but not as noisy as some I've had.

I'd guess the KDW2 is comparable to the KDW, maybe just a slightly better compound and "interesting" tread pattern.

I love my KDW2's. I've put about 30,000 highway miles on them, but once they start wearing they wear fast. They are OK in the rain. I've hydroplaned once due to my own stupidity and I have a 295 back tire... The wider they are, the worse for hydroplaning. No driving in the snow for me either.

I'm a little rusty, but I don't think 275's are considered safe for stock rims either... Max I would go in the front is probably a 255.

Looks like he's got 18x9" rims... should be perfect for 275's... but will 275's clear in the front? I'm assuming they do since that's what he put in his sig.

I have Cobra 17x9s on my GT and it clears, but barely. Gotta imagine you'll have some rubbing. Just plan out your parking lot maneuverability so that it doesn't include any full turns and you'll be fine!

On the tires - Khumo makes a good one, and they're cheaper than most...

I've been through lots of tires from pretty much every manufacturer, usually around 2 sets per year due to track time. The best tires I have found, especially for the money, have been the Toyos. They were the quietest, best handling tire, even up to 165+mph.
