Hey yall

Well this is my first post so I thought I'd say a thing or two about myself. Names Cody and I'm from east tennessee. Ever since I was little I've had a thing for fast cars and big trucks. Right now I'm in college and drive a 4x4. Prior to that, in my teenage punk years, I owned a Nissan sentra se-r spec v. That was my first car and I enjoyed modifying it... but it just wasn't enough for me. My dads always been a muscle car guy, and I guess thats why my rebelious ways led me to getting an import. After growing up a little bit and realizing how stupid the import scene was I sold the car and got the truck.... which brings me to the present day....
Today I went with dad to my papaws house where dad has kept his 66 mustang (650 hp) in the garage since I was born. Right before I was born he blew the tranny out of it, and didnt want to spend money on it anymore cuz he then had a family to raise. So it sat there forever. Well over the last few weeks they have been getting it ready to start... from gaskets to a new gas tank. Today he started it up. And when I felt that horsepower thumping in my chest and heard the open headers idle I knew what I had been missing out on in that foolish import scene.

So that made me convince myself that after I graduate college in the very near future and start my career I want to build a muscle car with my dad. I want a foxbody mustang... hence why I posted in this section. Just thought I would say hello and hopefully get some guidance

Thanks for the welcome. I'll post pictures and a video of it running sometime tomorrow hopefully.

As for future plans for my car, I found a '90 LX coupe for 3,900 in my area. So that gave me a ballpark price at what I would be spending. I'm not worried so much about the body condition (as long as its not been seriously wrecked) because I do bodywork on the side. As far as engines, I have tossed around the idea of possibly a crate motor. But if I have the time once I start the project I would like to build the motor myself. But heres a company I've been checking out for crates: Ford engines, ford performance engines, 302, 347, crate engines

Cody, if that coupe you found is grey with body kit and saleen wing and edlebrock intak Private message me. I have been in the fox game for over ten years and can give you some heads up on that car. I looked at it last week. Can give you the low down on some things.
