I think I'd have to say the Steeda's seem to ride a little closer to stock, but wasn't anything to buy one or the other over. Shocks/struts really do make a huge difference though. When I went from kyb's to bilstein HD's it was night and day.

The Sports will probably be lower depending on if you use your isolaters or not.

My car with Vogtland Springs about 3 weeks old (I believe they are the manufacturers of Steeda's, or so I have heard..) with the supplied Vogtland isolaters. I just recently moved, so I just found Vogtland's Pinion Snubber, which I didn't install..:(

Very nice! You using CC's?

I'm looking for a drop that does great on the street and at the drag strip too.

Essentially, anything that looks great on the street and helps with lowering the center of gravity (COG) will not help you at all at the strip. As you know, the strip is about weight transfer. Once you drop the COG it's way more difficult to get that transfer.

What to do? I'd keep the OEM Mach 1 springs (the rears are soft to allow good weight transfer - the Mach 1 was constructed as a 1/4 mile car more than anything), pull your lower isolators and maybe trim a half a coil to get you down a little more. Then invest in some adjustable shocks and struts so you can soften them fro the strip and tighten up for a little more spirited driving. You'll have to make compromises either way. A good 1/4 mile car will be lousy on the turns, and a twisty car would do well on the strip. You can either take one of these paths or compromise.

Nonetheless, here is mine with Eibach Pro springs...for me this is a pretty darn good setup, very predictable (I also have full length sub frame connectors, MM K member brace and strut tower brace, UPR upper and lower control arms). I hardly drag race, mostly having fun on the street pushing it into turns...

Your Mach 1 looks great! :nice:

Yeah, the pro-kit and sports are where springs start to hurt 1/4 mile times a little. Fine line... Tuff decision.

I think I'll probably go with the Pro-kit due to lower lb per spring rate in the front and extra 1/4" drop over the steeda sports. Thanks everyone :flag:

More Info..

So as you all know I've narrowed my spring choice down to two springs the Steeda Sports and Eibach Pro-Kit.

I like the rear Eibach Pro-Kit spring lb/in. better than the Steeda Sports. I like how the Steeda Sports have Linear front springs while the Pro's don't. I also notice that the sports provide more of an even drop with the pics I've seen (Front/Rear wise). Steeda Sports look low in pics & some pro-kits are pretty low in the front and not so much in the rear...

Eibach Pro-kit
Front Spring 425-530 lb/in. Progressive (1.5 in drop)
Rear Springs 200-300 lb/in. Progressive (1.5in drop)

Steeda Sport
Front Springs 650 lb/in. Linear (1.25 in drop)
Rear Springs 200-250 lb/in. Progressive (1.25 in drop)

y2k2GT: Man you got me thinking Steeda Sports again..

Nope, loving IRS

There's a difference between IRS and SRA mustangs for lowering. (Little, but some)
