Hey guys,
Brand new here all the way from Antwerp(EU) Not so many S197 models over here in Belgium. Mine is a 2005 GT, I have Baer extreme plus 6calipers and Borla's. Now Iam thinking about an Edelbrock supercharger. Do I have to upgrade other parts of the car using this SC : clutch, suspension ....
I found here lots of info about SC but not exactly something about the other to do's.
Thanks for the advise

No, but the clutch will wear faster, especially if you really drive hard. Most people with superchargers upgrade the clutch when it goes out to one that is more capable of handling the power. Of course, if you drag race with slicks, you are more likely to break a transmission or other part.

My clutch is about to die and I only have 30K miles on the car. And that is only from stop and go traffic with occasional bouts of autocross. The stock unit is definitely brittle so lose it as soon as you can. Pick up a lightweight flywheel while you're at it to optimize your power transfer to the ground.

On that note pick up some suspension parts like control arms and sway bar kits at the very least. Better brakes a kit or at least stainless steel lines and pads should follow as we all know power is nothing without control.

Thanks for the advise, brakes are already upgraded; I've considered a handling pack, maybe the Ford racing pack, otherwise the Roush suspension.
About the clutch, taking care of it when necessary seems to be the right option. I thought that stock gears were 3.55 ? I planned to change them to 3.73

It depends. In some cars the gears could be 3.31s. On some years the 3.55's were an option.

There is a way to tell I think by a sticker on the axle but I'm not sure. Someone can chime in on that. I can tell you that if you decide to swap gear that's the best time to change, upgrade or rebuild your LSD unit.

I'm planning on putting on a Detroit Truetrac HLSD when I'll swap the gears.

Ok, I'll check this before ordering some stuff. Thanks
