I Built a rotisserie this weekend. I only have a couple of pics but here you go. I will add some better ones once I get a new battery for my camera. Please pardon the messy garage. Who really has time to clean anyway.

Nice. Where did you hook it up at in the back? I made the mistake of hooking mine to the rear bumper mounts so now I have to move it down to the rear leaf mounts do work on the back of the car.

I did the same thing but I the center of gravity was way off. It was extremely difficult to turn. Now I can rotate it with very little effort.

Mine has some holes just in front of the rear spring mount. I hooked some angle into them. I will post a bunch of pics as soon as my Battery for my camera comes in.

You should post some pics of your rotisserie too.

I had a local steel yard price the materials to build the one the common internet plans show and it was going to cost between $500-$600 in steel alone. I decided I'll keep checking craigslist until I find a decent deal. Looks good though.

kick ass great work man ! how much were the materials and how many feet of square tubing did it take? if its not too much too ask

Bill of materials

182" 4 x 4 x 3/16 Wall Square Tubing (Base T's) Donated by a friend. (It came from a car wash we stripped a few years ago
60" 3 x 3 x 3/16 Wall Square Tubing (Primary Upright) $12.00 From a local scrap yard.
68" 2.5 x 2.5 x 3/16 Wall Square Tubing (Upright Insert) $0.44 Per inch. $29.20 new old stock
90" 2 x 2 x 1/8 Wall Tubing (Hanger T's) Donated by a friend.
48" 2.5 x 2.5 x 1/4 Wall Receiver Hitch Tubing (Interface T's) $0.84 Per Inch. $40.32 Total
24" 2.5 Round $10.00
16" 3" Round $13.00
Casters Free I have a few boxes of some old computer racks I stripped.
16" 2.5 x 2.5 x 3/16 Wall. Sleeve at end on 2.5 Round. $7.04
Bolts 5.61 per pound. I used about 2 lbs. Total 11.22
60" 2 x 2 x 1/8 and 30" 2.5 x 2.5 x 1/8 Cross bar on bottom. I used old stop sign posts. $20.00 from scrap yard.

Total Cost $142.78
Total Build Time with 2 People. 8 to 9 Hours ( I cut and Steve welded.)

The cost on all of the materials new would have been about $450.00

This turned out pretty good. On the 3" uprights I would use a Tighter fitting square tube. Something more like 3" OD Receiver hitch. That the 2.5 would fit a little tighter in or change it to 2.5 OD Receiver Hitch with 2" Inserts.

I will add a 3/4" Thread all to move the car up and down to get the center of gravity on it. I drilled hole every 2 inches on one of the Hanger t's. It was a waste of time to drill all of these holes. I am only using 1 of them. Instead I should have used a pinch bolt to get it where I wanted it and then drill 1 hole for a safety bolt. Then mark that Hole 1969 Mustang.

I had $150.00 to work with and did it with enough to buy a cheap pizza for us for lunch also. :D

If you are not in a huge hurry get what you can from scrap yards. Start a collection. It took me a few weeks to round up all of the materials but look at my previous post.

rotisserie photo's

Hi, I'm not the same guy, but here are a couple of photo's of the rotisserie I built. It looks like I can only upload two photo's.
