Watkins Glenn Edition?

Haha well thats pretty weird. I bought my 88 back in 2001 and it had the same stickers. I am the 3rd owner of the car but from what I have found (yrs ago) was there was some type of open track events and if you participated you would get the sticker. Nothing was "upgraded" on mine aside from green (poly) sway bar bushings which I assumed the previous owner installed. I thought I had the only car with the sticker. I removed it shortly after I bought the car. Not gonna thread jack but my car is also up for sale. P.M. if interested.

so does a sticker you add your self 20 years later make it a special edition or is there some truth to this car i have never heard of? I emaild the guy for info just because i'm curious to what he will tell me.

1988 Mustang 'Watkins Glen Nascar Special Edition'
Hi- Actually, I purchased mine in 1989 from the dealer with 10 miles on the odometer. Mine stated that it was a Watkins Glen Special Edition Pace Car. It had a factory sunroof- even though that year's regular mustang did not have sunroofs. I was also told there were 500 of them made- whether that was BS from the dealer or not, I do not know. I was 19 at the time- so I probably would have believed anything. :)

You do know that the thread your referencing lived and died 6 years ago, right?
