Well after 6 years of this car, building it from a bone stock 14 second car to pushing it into the 11's, its time has come.

After this thread,

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/784433-cranks-no-start-orange-spark-coil.html

I just had enough with the car. The car is now parted out and sold. I will miss it but what I will not miss is the stress of driving it worrying that something will break, my jaw hurting from cringing my teeth as a result of the noise, no air conditioning, the 36 traffic tickets, being arrested, thousands spent in court, etc. Later on I will buy something newer, but this is it for now. I started a business and that has become the focus of my life.

R.I.P.

Sometimes you just have to let go. You will miss the car though. I still miss my vert, but time marches on.

keep the rolller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! motor and drivetrain aint nothing....but a clean fox is something and for what it is worth unless you have no food on your table keep it!!!! im thinking of doing exactly waht you did,,,,parting it out to make some money and keep the roller for when i am older with more money to actually build something really nice instead of being another ol poor boy fox......

still got the pony rims, im interested in a buy? pm if so.....

The transmission pic is very cool.

Aliate, what you describe sounds EXACTLY like what I'm experiencing with my '90. Everything from the symptoms, to the car dying, all of the things you tried. My car has been down since early May and I just cannot crack this thing. It stumbled and died on me one day, started up long enough for me to make it one block, and hasn't started since. Reading your "Cranks, no start" thread I was checking off everything I've tried as well and nothing. I have a good place to keep the car so I haven't given up just yet but I feel your pain. Good luck on the business venture.

...lol this forum has gotten very gay over the years it seems. Oh well, putting a whoopin on 200,000$ rare cars with a 5,000$ foxbody isnt worth posting I guess.
:Word:
This forum has always been anti-street racing. You're not new around here, you know that.

There used to be threads posted by a certain member on a weekly basis with a compilation of street races. They were not frowned upon, and everyone enjoyed them and looked forward to them. The pussification of America has taken over StangNet and Mustang owners.

Sad to hear about the car Aliate x. Keep the roller and slowly make it something nasty. You have a solid black LX, don't give that up.

Wow.... I hope you don't really regret this. No, I think you will.

The noise, you could quiet that down. Something breaking? Problems with the five oh that don't actually drive five-oh's anymore? Perhaps if you calmed down a little you would get in as much trouble and break things all the time.

"the 36 traffic tickets, being arrested, thousands spent in court, etc."

and you wonder why street racing is gehy b/c this. I dont think the reason for not posting street racing is because they dont want you to talk about it. the reason is when you race and post up your story some 16yr old with a 5.0 reads that and tries to emulate. besides the law you never had any issues but you could have just as easly broke an axel and ended up putting the car somewhere were a death or serious injury could have occured. im sure nick hogan thought it was all fun and games as well.

I always liked you so im not trying to stir heat with you just making your realize that the reason people dont like muscle cars is because of what happens off the track when people loose control. no advertisers want to be affiliated with a site that condones illegal activities.

I hope you keep the shell and slowly build up a 408W setup or something that will keep you in the game.

Just my opinion. I would much rather break an axle on a 3 or 4 lane wide highway with room to recover or spin into the grass rather than stuff my car into a concrete wall at the track. When I think of street racing it's on a wide highway in the middle of the night with no one around. When you use some common sense I feel much safer racing on the street than the track. If you're a ****ing retard like nick hogan, that's what happens. People racing in traffic, weaving in and out of cars, around corners or on ****ty 2 lane roads is not street racing. That's just driving like an idiot. I just hate how street racing is generalized into one big bad thing. But this is an argument that's not going to be won since ignorance rules the world.

No offence but to get 36 traffic tickets you would have to be doing something very wrong and using very bad judgement haha. I raced 3+ times a week all summer and was never confronted by the law or felt in danger once.

To my knowledge, there hasn't since I've been a member here, and most definitely has not since I've been on staff. If you're so unhappy with StangNet, the door is that way --------->

That's why it's your opinion, surrounded by zero facts. When you break an axle on the highway and hit a family head on, let me know how that works out for you. Or when you lose that axle and the friction causes the car to barrel roll, you'll wish you had the EMS personnel immediately available like the track does, while you're laying in the car writhing in pain. Hopefully your gas tank didn't contact the ground when the axle broke, or you might be in for a world of hurt, while laying in the car writhing in pain waiting for EMS personnel. Ignorance doesn't rule the world and it definitely doesn't win this argument because your ignorance on this issue is astounding.

Sorry Troy for jumping in after the lock. Needed to say my part.
