Geee why am I not surprised...

I love the comment that the Camaro "absolutely destroyed" the other 2 in the 1/4 mile and beat the GT500 by 1/10 of a second

All good cars, like he said at the end, too bad the SuperSnake doesn't have decent tires, pretty sure it'd be a different story if it did.

And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle :)

Since ppl run low 12's in stock gt500's I wouldn't put much into the times that guy ran. Probably both the Shelby and the camaro would be faster with a different driver.

120-121 mph and only 12 flat. That's pathetic.

:rlaugh:

I was just making a point. Did they even mention if the tires were changed from a stock GT500 or were they the same tires? I don't recall, but if they didn't change them that's pathetic considering the power increase....that they'd change everything but the tires.

Either way...go put some better tires on it.

It was just a statement :)

I like that one, so i finally found an oppertunity to use it.

As for tires, if you can afford those cars, your not the type to be rollin on f'n drag radials tho, you need to run em on the tires they come with, not MM&FF style of bolting slicks on anything on the road, including a Ford GT that will likely never have drag tires on em from their owners!.. I think that is rediculous.

Very true. I'll do it to my GT tho when I take her to the track :D

Plan and simple....its just to much power...... With how bad the the regular GT500 is able to grip, you would think that this would be the NUMBER ONE issue when building the supersnake !!!

Instead its......."HEY Lets throw a Whipple on it"........"GET ER DONE" !!!!

750hp means ABSOLUTLY nothing when it cant get put to the ground, cars still badass....but a big thumbs DOWN for doing nothing about traction !!!

I never thought I'd say this but I have to agree with the chevy guy here. By far the best mods you can do to a Mustang are those that address the Fred Flintstone designed suspension/braking system. I can tell you from personal experience that having a car whose suspension overpowers the tires is way better then having one whose power levels do and nothing else.

Having owned an 05 which had horrible traction issues and grip issues I know what suspension mods can do for a car because I did a lot to make that car put the power where it counted. As far as these particular cars in the video...how many thousands of dollars were spent on the camaro vs the mustang vs the challenger? I was just pointing out that it seems like they left the tires and suspension alone and just threw on more power, which is, stupid. I'm not trying to argue that in their form, what they were in the video, the Mustang is better. Merely stating that you could probably do about 2 grand in tires and suspension work to even the playing field.

I personally would still choose the Super Snake. New tires, some suspension mods and you would have a real beast on your hands. Even if the Camaro somehow grew on me, Hennesseys reputation would keep me away.

Probably would be better and cheaper to just find out what Hennessey and Shelby used and just build it yourself.

Why waste the time, and money. If you are that close, go all the way to a real automobile.

+1 I agree with you completely, take a watts link for example it isn't that expensive I got mine for 600 bucks and it made a huge different in the feel of the car. It does seem ridiculous to spend an ungodly amount of money on go fast bits and disregarding the rest of the car. I can't tell you how many times I've seen that when I worked at a performance shop, people with more money then sense dump thousands on things like forced induction, engine swaps etc. but forget all about putting the power down efficiently and safely.
